Cancer Messed with the WRONG Girl – Caroline!

 

On November 28th, just two days after her 31st birthday, Caroline Runyon received tragic news. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer that has metastasized to her lymph nodes and liver.

 

Caroline has been struggling with her health for a while. The doctors thought she may have a gluten allergy or possibly Colitis disease. On the Monday before Thanksgiving, Caroline underwent testing that uncovered a four-inch tumor in her large intestine. Surgery was scheduled shortly after. During this surgery they found the tumor was cancerous and had spread to the lymph nodes. After experiencing surgical complications, further abdominal scans showed the cancer had metastasized to her liver. In the coming weeks, she will undergo additional testing to identify how far cancer has spread.

 

Upon hearing the news, in true Caroline fashion, she researched multiple options and received multiple opinions. On Thursday, December 7th, she was accepted into the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. MD Anderson is the nation’s top hospital for cancer care. Caroline will travel to Houston on January 4, 2023 to begin treatment with continuous trips during treatment to monitor her progress.

 

With her highly positive warrior attitude, Caroline will beat this cancer. As the title says, Cancer messed with the WRONG girl.
