I am embarking on an unexpected challenge to run the London Marathon 2025. For those that know me I am a big cyclist and NOT a seasoned runner. This was a complete fluke as I entered the ballot for the first ever time on the train up to last years event that I was marshalling for my running club. I have never participated in a single running event before this so I have gone all in.

To put use to this great opportunity I wanted to help someone who really needs the donations and it means a lot to me and hopefully all of you that are donating to see exactly where your donations are going to.

On April 15th 2024, Sam Gilbert was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has spread to his liver, chest and abdomen.

Sam is a similar age to me with a wife and 2 kids and if I can help him get the treatment he needs to beat this horrible illness it would mean he gets the life he deserves to spend with his loved ones
