Cancer made this Giver a Receiver

Hi, my name is Gloria. In my personal and professional life, I have always been a giver. A giver of love, laughter, and encouragement. For over 20 years, as a public school counselor I have given my students and families hope, support, and resources.

As of September 26, 2023, my Tcell Acute Leukemia and Lymphoma diagnosis has taught me to be open to receiving as well.

Since then, I have received God's grace and love channeled through family, friends, and strangers.

As such, I am now open to receiving the financial support needed to fund co-pays for medical treatments as well as my share of the monthly household bills for the next 5 months of chemo treatment cycles.

The giver in me wants to share the gift of the YA! with you. YA! means "now" in Spanish. This cancer diagnosis has provided my family and me the gift of living in the now. Living in our YA! As such we have become more present, more loving, and more forgiving towards each other.

Living in our YA! is all we have, for the past is now gone and the future is not guaranteed.
