Cancer In the Blood

During our walk with Christ in this life we are humbled by the blessing His love provides for us.  Along this journey our faith can be challenged by small turns to major detours.  For Doug and Becky a major detour began in March of 2018: after a foot injury that required Doug to postpone working for a period of time while he healed, a new challenge was just around the corner.  Shortly after the foot injury, Doug was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphona.  The "C" had come into their lives.  After consultation with various doctors and comparing their alternative options, Doug and Beck choose a growing but non-traditional treatment option along with prayer and faith.  A few years prior to Doug's diagnosis, he and Becky had adapted their lives to include an organic and plant based diet.

As Doug and Becky began this new walk they recognized that an alternative medical treatment was consistent with their beliefs in clean living.  As part of this effort they continue their plant based organic eating plan, chose the Laetrile (B17) injections, 3 Electro-Lymphatic Therapy sessions and 3 hydrotherapy sessions each week. Natural based medical plans for fighting cancer are growing across the country.  However, many of these treatments are expensive and not covered with health care insurance.  So as they approach the one year mark of Doug being out of work, the costs are increasing with no end in sight.

AS this new journey began, Doug and Becky prayed to ask for guidance on how they might be a light to others in their walk with Christ.  Their faith is the foundation and most instrumental "treatment" of all those we have mention above.  Doug and Becky spend several hours and hours in prayer each and every day  If you know them you would expect nothing less.  Their love for Christ is evident in their lives through their commitment in their marriage, in their raising of the their family and in their work.
