Cancer Hit Ken Kessler. Help My Brother Ken Fight!

Donation protected

Last month, on November 16, 2022, our oldest brother Ken underwent a very serious brain surgery in an attempt to remove a rapidly growing cancerous tumor. To understand where this started, early this summer Ken began to experience memory loss and minor cognitive difficulties. By Fall, his symptoms had worsened, and he also began to have extremely severe headaches. This finally led Ken to seek medical help, and the doctors found a golf ball-sized mass in his head during an MRI scan. Only a week later, the worst news of all came—Glioblastoma Multiforme. With this particular cancer, treatment is very difficult and cures are often not possible.
On behalf of Ken, his wife Staci, and the whole family, we would like to thank everyone at MD Anderson. The work they are doing is truly amazing and we are so grateful for the extra time Ken will now have with us as a result of their efforts. While the wonderful doctors and their support team there were able to remove 90% of this horrific brain tumor, unfortunately, with this particular type, 100% removal is currently not achievable. And to make matters worse, this specific cancerous brain tumor grows back at an accelerated rate following initial surgery.
Roughly a week and a half ago on December 12, Ken began the second phase of treatment, an extremely challenging and very aggressive chemo/radiation plan. This should halt the remaining growth of the deeply embedded tumor for at least a year, hopefully two, and God willing even longer. Ken and Staci have had to drop everything and temporarily move to Houston for the next two months as his treatments are administered there daily through early February.
Ken and Staci and the entire family have had their world turned upside-down. Ken and Staci are proud parents of five children: Ryan, Austin, Devin, Kyle, and Emily. They are also grandparents to Rylan Kessler. Everyone who knows Ken will tell you that he is a terrific father. They would also say one would be hard-pressed to find a harder-working person. I couldn't be prouder of him as my brother. Ken is a good man. He and Staci have raised some remarkable children.
Given the circumstances, our brother Ken will no longer be able to work. And as Ken’s primary caretaker as well as his business partner, Staci will have a very limited capacity to operate their business leaving them with little to no income during this trying time. We hope you will be able to help Ken and his family. As Ken and Staci now fight this horrific disease full-time, your much-needed support to join them in this fight will lessen their worry and help comfort them as they deal with the mounting financial burdens.
All proceeds from Ken’s GoFundMe page will go directly to Ken and Staci to help with all their medical and related travel expenses as well as assist them in their time of need as they are unable to work. We will continue to post updates on this site. Please keep Ken and the family in your prayers.

Thank you
