Cancer has progressed; Help for Mark Aguilar

It's been a challenging year for so many, but it's been an extra tough one for Mark Aguilar. Mark and his family are in dire need of financial support as he battles Cancer. Please give if you can and God Bless!

Here's an update directly from him...

My friends, I wish I was coming to you with better news, but sadly I just learned that my cancer has now spread to the lungs. 

I had planned to share a positive update with you all since I recently had a successful surgery to reattach my colon, removing the colostomy bag; however, the good news was short-lived. As it stands today, I’ve just started my third cocktail treatment of chemo to treat the cancer in my colon, rectum, liver and now my lungs. I’ve heard this same thing a few times before, but when the doctor says, “you have very limited time with this type of cancer” it isn’t any less hard to swallow.

The past year had already been a very challenging one for us…Andrea lost her job and as a result, and ALL of our medical coverage. Caring for both me and her mom full-time is emotionally, mentally and physically draining. She is AWESOME but trying to be all things to all people is just too much for any one person. And as grateful as we are for the short-term disability, unfortunately it’s not enough with numerous medical appointments, ER visits and the last couple of surgeries. 

Considering I’m living with a terminal cancer, there are good days and bad days, but I WILL continue to fight! So far, I’m handling the new chemo well, but it is tough. Honestly, right now, the mental health part is worse than the physical part. The stress and worry are doing as much damage to my body as the cancer. 

So, I am once again coming to you all for HELP. Your prayers and support have been a Godsend to me and my family, PLEASE keep them coming! I know it’s thanks to those prayers that my time with all of you continues to exceed the doctor’s expectations. 

Many of you donated before to help us in all the other ways too, and for that I THANK YOU! With your kindness, we were able to keep our home and survive this journey a little longer. I can’t tell you what that means to me! Now, without Andrea’s income and no insurance coverage, we are simply trying survive the day-to-day…so it is with a humble heart that I come to you asking for your support once again, in any way you have to offer. I know times are tough for all, and if it’s not possible for you, we appreciate your continued prayers and would ask that you just pass along this request to everyone you know. Right now, literally every penny helps. 

Finally, I can only say THANK YOU again, for everything. Each of you has a special place in my heart and I will NEVER forget your generosity!
