In June of 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, I had a double mastectomy because my grandmother and my great-great-grandmother both died of breast cancer at my age. My body rejected the implants for the expansions before I was to get reconstruction. Now, I have to have a certain surgery called D-flap that only one doctor in my state is approved with my insurance company. My insurance out-of-pocket cost was told to me that it would be $4000, but I found out months later that it is $8000. I don’t have $8000. Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it’s just a dollar or words of encouragement.
