Cancer has affected so many people close to me

Donation protected
My wife Olivia was diagnosed last month with breast cancer.

Thankfully it is being treated as early stage and they are treating to cure.

The diagnosis came from no-where, thankfully, she saw her GP with a lump she discovered herself, and was referred to Chorley Hospital.

The shock of the diagnosis took a long time to sink in, and awaiting the test results to establish stage/grade was a horrible time for us as a family.

She's only 37 and otherwise in great health, this just shows how indiscriminate this awful disease is, and the importance of getting any concerns checked out.

She's starting chemotherapy early next month, prior to an operation, radiotherapy and hormone treatment.

This disease has affected so many lives recently and I feel I really want to do something positive whilst she goes through her treatment journey.

I'm therefore raising money for Cancer Research UK and any donation will help make a difference.

I'm attempting to virtually run the South section of the Pennine Way, completing the virtual "CHALLENGER SOUTH". This covers the 108 miles from Edale to Hawes and progress is tracked on the website.

I've got January to complete the 108 miles and it will all be running outside. This will average 3.5 miles everyday, which for me is a massive leap in mileage..

Thankyou in advance for any contribution which means so much to us.
