Cancer Funds for (Veteran) Billy Corby & Family

Hi, my name is Jackie Stockage, and I'm fundraising for my best friend's dad, William E. Corby. After a trip to the hospital just before Christmas, he was diagnosed with cancer. Billy is currently in his first round of chemo. He has one more round of chemo after the first, followed by surgery to remove any remaining cancer.

His wife, Vickie Corby, works at the Tunkhannock High School as a Special Needs Teacher, and his son, Justin Corby, does small jobs repairing ATVs and dirtbikes and selling spare parts due to being permanently disabled.

In recent weeks, friends and family have come together to help the Corby family with jobs that Billy took care of previously, but has been unable to work on because of his cancer. Tasks like cutting firewood, cleaning the chimney, and driving their son to his doctor appointments.

Vicky Corby has worked for the Tunkhannock Highschool for nearly two decades and cares for her grandson full-time. In addition to these responsibilities, she is now getting done with work and driving Billy to his doctor appointments in Wilkes-barre -- a 40-minute drive each way. Rising gas prices and medical bills are putting a strain on their family finances. The Corby family needs the community's help and support to get through this tough time.
