Fatoumata Binta Bah, 39 years old from Guinea has been diagnosed with breast cancer. “Binta” as her family calls her, is the mother of 4 small children. Her oldest child is 12 years old, and her youngest child is 7 months old. Shortly after she delivered her youngest child, she noticed a lump in her breast that quickly developed into full blown cancer. Her family has sent her to Senegal to seek treatment. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy to try and isolate the cancer before they can perform surgery to remove the breast. In her most recent appointment, she was told that her cancer is spreading. Currently, her immediate family abroad and donations from a few family friends have been helping to cover the cost of her treatment. Paying for this treatment out of pocket has proven to be very difficult for the family. It will be a long hard battle to defeat this illness but we can all chip in to lighten the load a little by helping to cover medical expenses, food, transportation, and lodging. With your help our beloved Binta can focus on healing so that with Allah’s will she can recover from this. No child deserves to grow up without a mother.
