Cancer Fund for Anthony Joseph Austwick
Hello! My name is Anthony Joseph Austwick. I am 29 years old.
I work as an educator in Adventure Club for the Kirkwood school district. For those who aren't familiar, essentially I take care of over one hundred students each day before and after school for parents who need assistance during times they need to work.
Recently I've hit a major bump in the road. After having disturbing side effects for a while now, trying to get insurance through the government marketplace, and fighting to set up doctors appointments for many months, I have been given grave news from my medical doctor. He is "99% sure" that have a cancer tumor. Essentially, I have recently been diagnosed with a form of Bladder Cancer.
For some good news: after my recent Biopsy I was told that the tumor is a Punlump (or Papillary urothelial neoplasm of low malignant potential), which means it's inconclusive, and that we have caught it early. Thankfully there is still a chance that it is not cancerous!
I love my job and the people that surround me. However, after eight years of working my hardest and helping the program grow from its infancy, I have never been offered a full-time position due to the split-shift nature of the program and limited resources. Therefore, I do not have the benefits given to someone in a full-time position, coming at a hefty cost to me financially. My inability to work after the biopsy surgery and coming TURBT surgery have left me basically income-less.
At this moment I am at a loss. Before all of this I was barely scraping by each month. Now I do not know what else to do.
All I ask is a small amount of help over the next few months (or however long you can afford) to deal with this endeavor and hopefully fight my hardest to survive the trials to come. I need about $1200-$1300 a month to pay my monthly and hospital bills. Anything extra is greatly appreciated.
Please help me. Even if you can only spare a small amount, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering me.
