Cancer fighting single parent
Donation protected
Hi,
I am Ray Grace’s sister and I am trying to help him raise money to fight cancer and raise his 10 year old daughter and be here for his adult son, Donovan. He is the little boy in the throw-back pic. Ray was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in the summer if 2021 after a few doctors misdiagnosed his condition. He was fighting it with the help of his wife, daughter, and extended family. Then his wife, Samra, at 48 years old, who lived a very healthy lifestyle got Covid. She collapsed and died in his arms on December 12th while they were getting ready to go to the emergency room.
This is reason enough to support him, but there is more.
Last week his contract at work was bought out and now he has no health insurance. He relies on chemotherapy and was told the discounted price without insurance was $19,000 per treatment. Finding employment that will provide insurance during treatments seems unlikely. He needs the treatments every couple of weeks to survive and fight cancer. The length of time he will need chemo will be evaluated after this series is complete, which we believe will be three treatments. He needs to survive for his daughter.
Please consider helping him get the treatments he needs to live so his daughter is not without a living parent.
