Cancer Donation For Kathy Weston

Hello,

My name is Teresa Blackston, my sister Kathy Weston, was diagnosed with cancer. After diagnosis, they found out she has stage 3 skin cancer (metastatic melanoma, which is where cancer spreads from an area to the lymph nodes, blood, brain and other organs.) Originally the doctors told her she would have to do auto immune therapy and another form a treatment for a year, after only coming to the conclusion that the cancer was on her back and in her lymph nodes. She had a biopsy and surgery to remove the cancer on her back and lymph nodes/tumors under her arm. On Friday the 14TH OF January she went in for an MRI and a CT scan to make sure everything was okay as they originally thought so she could start her treatment on Thursday the 20th of January. She had a follow up appointment on Monday January the 17th to get those results of the two scans that were performed. Unfortunately, they have found that the cancer has spread to her brain, they found two lesions. She will have another doctor’s appointment on January 18th, 2022, and the Oncologist will inform her about course of treatment and how soon they will begin. We are unsure of what circumstances that will take place after this appointment, and uncertain of what the cost will be surrounding everything that has to be performed. Kathy will be unable to work during this time, possibly longer. We ask that any family, friends, and acquaintances help in any way, shape, or form.
