A cancer diagnosis at 36 ………
Donation protected
I’m typically very private, but I’ve been grappling with this for months, struggling to share what’s really happening in my life right now. So, here I am, reaching out to my friends and family in my most vulnerable state. On January 11th, 2024, my world turned upside down. What I thought was a routine checkup led to an emergency biopsy on January 12th. Hearing the word “cancer” left me bewildered and emotionally shattered. I clung to hope that it was a mistake, but the biopsy confirmed it: stage 2 invasive Ductal breast cancer. I spent days in anguish, overwhelmed by fear and uncertainty. Turning to loved ones and seeking solace from those who’ve walked this path before me became my lifeline. However, the financial strain hit hard. Unable to work, facing mounting bills, and with medical expenses piling up, I’m navigating this journey with a heavy burden. I’ve had two surgeries in a month span. with another scheduled for April 10th, followed by a series of 3 more. Then the process of chemotherapy. It’s a long road ahead, one I never anticipated at 37. So, I’m reaching out for support, not seeking popularity, but seeking understanding and assistance from those who care. Thank you to everyone who lends a helping hand, whether through donations or kind words. Your support means the world to me in this moment of profound gratitude.
