Help Jessica through a Cancer Diagnosis

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jessica, and I am reaching out for your support during an incredibly challenging time for both my child, Liv, and me.

Firstly, I have been battling a cancer diagnosis, which has caused me to undergo surgery (more to come) and miss work. This has created financial strain, and I am struggling to cover the costs of my bills and other expenses.

Adding to our difficulties, we have been living in an apartment (with no actual bedrooms) in Old City for seven years, enduring constant leaks and flooding. The management has been negligent in addressing these issues, leaving our bathroom flooded for a week now, with no sign of help. Puddles in the loft area and three buckets catching water in the bathroom make it an unhealthy and unsafe environment for both Liv and me.

We have endured this living situation for too long, and it's time for a change. Liv has been accepted into Settlement Music School, which is a wonderful opportunity for him. To be closer to his school and have actual bedrooms, we are aiming to move to Queen Village. This will provide a better living situation for us and a healthier atmosphere, as the mold in our current apartment poses health risks.

Asking for help has never been easy for me, but given the hardships we've faced, I am reaching out to the community for support. We need assistance to cover the costs of moving, addressing the medical expenses, and catching up on other financial obligations. I am working as much as I can and will continue to do so, but am struggling to catch up.
