Hello everybody! We don't normally do this but things happen.
My wife is currently 27 weeks pregnant with our second child. In addition to being pregnant during COVID-19, she was diagnosed with breast cancer last month.
She will be starting chemotherapy on Wednesday, July 29th. She will be going through chemo every 2 weeks until September, at which time we will pause so she can deliver our son safely. After delivery of the baby, she will be undergoing a mastecomy, if not a bilateral mastecomy. Once that is completed, she will be doing more chemotherapy for 12 months.
During this time, we will be in and out of work, and while our jobs are being fantastic during all of this, our hours and pay will be affected. While we are okay so far with everything, we have already seen some unexpected costs come up, and with cancer and childbirth, it is getting harder to keep up, especially with our older son going back to school and all the risks that come with that.
Again, we don't normally do this, but desperate times and all of that.
