A few years ago, I was building the life I had always dreamed of. I was pursuing a career in music, receiving positive feedback as a DJ, and beginning to believe that my passion could become my future.

Then in 2023 everything changed.

I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin follicular lymphoma.

The way I found out was incredibly difficult. My girlfriend was told about my cancer over the phone by someone working at the hospital, rather than the information being communicated to me properly. Before I even received a definitive diagnosis, I had to go through several tests and fight to be taken seriously before finally getting the biopsy that confirmed what I was facing.

What followed was a long and difficult journey through medical appointments, tests, uncertainty, and chemotherapy. My career stopped. My plans stopped. Instead of focusing on building a future, I was focused on surviving.

My career stopped. My plans stopped. My life became hospitals, chemotherapy, fear to die and trying to understand what would happen next. I tried to keep going without asking for help. In Germany, there are systems intended to support people when they become seriously ill. I hoped I could use that support not only to get through treatment, but also to invest in my future, including a professional mixing and engineering course that could have helped me continue pursuing music.

Instead, I was told that because I had cancer, investing money in my professional development was not considered worthwhile. That was incredibly painful to hear. I was still young. I still had ambitions. I still wanted a future, so I tried to support myself.

Like many people facing a serious illness, I exhausted my savings and fell behind financially just trying to make it through.

During treatment, I started printing and selling T-shirts to help with my expenses because I didn't want to depend on other people. When chemotherapy ended, I decided to return to work as soon as I could.

Today, I work approximately 40 hours a week in customer service. I work because I want to support myself and rebuild my independence, even though my income is relatively low compared with the cost of living in Germany.

After chemotherapy, I experienced significant mental health difficulties and am currently receiving treatment and medication for depression. I also continue living with the uncertainty of follicular lymphoma, a disease that is considered incurable and requires ongoing monitoring throughout my life.

Cancer may no longer control every day of my life, but its financial consequences are still with me.

Why I'm Asking for Help?

This fundraiser is not about special purchases.

It is about recovering from a year in which cancer prevented me from working and rebuilding financial stability after one of the most difficult periods of my life.

My goal is to raise €3,000 to help me:

* Catch up on financial obligations and expenses accumulated during my illness

* Reduce the financial burden created by a year of lost income

* Build a small financial safety net for future medical and living expenses

* Focus on rebuilding my life without constantly struggling to stay afloat financially

Where the Money Will Go

I want to be completely transparent.

Every contribution will go toward helping me recover from the financial impact of cancer, including:

* Outstanding expenses and debts accumulated during treatment and recovery

* Essential living costs while I continue rebuilding my financial stability

* Creating a modest financial cushion after losing nearly a year of income

Any support received will directly help me move from simply surviving to rebuilding a stable future.

One of the hardest parts of cancer is that people often assume life returns to normal once treatment ends.

The truth is that recovery continues long after chemotherapy is over.

I am working hard to rebuild my independence. I show up to work every day. I continue treatment for my mental health. I keep moving forward despite the uncertainty that comes with living with lymphoma.

I am not looking for someone else to solve my problems. I am simply asking for a helping hand while I continue doing everything I can to rebuild my life.
