As many of you may know, our good friend and brother Dennis Morgan was recently diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma. Synovial Sarcoma is a rare type of cancer that affects soft tissues which support and surround bones and organs. It is so rare that it accounts for less than 1% of all cancers.
One short week after being diagnosed, Dennis has already embarked on his lengthy chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Dennis will be hospitalized for 4 days while receiving chemo followed by 10 days of radiation. He will complete this cycle several times over the next 3 months. Followed by chemotherapy and radiation Dennis will undergo surgery. The extent of surgery to remove the baseball size tumor in his leg is unknown however will require a lengthy recovery. This type of aggressive treatment will have a significant impact on Dennis’s overall health and ability to function as the 40yr old Dad, husband, brother and friend we all know. While we are all praying for a positive prognosis, Dennis’ battle against cancer is just beginning. Due to the multiple treatments and frequent hospital admissions, the medical bills will be just as aggressive. Any financial assistance would be appreciated to help offset the medical bills and follow up care needed. While my sister-in-law continues to support Dennis and their three children through this challenging journey, we are hoping to give her some extra support just as they would do for any of us.
Keep the prayers coming for the Morgan’s.
