In late 2023, Coquetta was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. She was in a lot of pain, and unable to do normal household cooking and caring for her family of seven.

After many months of severe affliction, she was started on a chemotherapy treatment, and responded well, for which we praise God.

As of early 2025, she has enough energy to manage the home again, and even school the younger children. But all of that along with her health care routine leaves her quite drained.
