Help Emma get the cancer treatments she needs.

Hi, I'm Emma and I'm raising funds so that I can treat my cancer in more than one way and have the very best chance of survival against stage 4 breast cancer. I believe my life can be extended by incorporating several other treatments into my regime, and clinics in Europe and America have seen success using dendritic cell therapy, mistletoe treatments and immunotherapy. The clinics offer other therapies like hyperthermia, immune stimulation therapy and red light therapy which have been shown to improve quality of life and slow tumor growth. People often ask me how they can help, with your support I can access these treatments and prolong my life.

For those of you who may not know my story, in April 2021 at 38, with a 1-year-old dote of a son, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. What followed was a year of harrowing treatments, chemotherapy, a mastectomy and radiation. Treatment finished in April 2022 and for 8 months, life felt normal until December when a routine scan showed lots of cancer in my liver. The cancer had metastasized, and it was now stage 4. I'm taking medicine daily and monthly shots, regular scans and we're trying to keep it contained in the liver, however, it is considered incurable, and I will continue to take this medicine until I become resistant or too ill to continue taking it. This is where complementary medicine can help.

I need to be around for as long as possible with my son Joel and partner Paul. Being around also means I need to feel as well as possible, and wellness throughout a stage 4 illness is made possible through integrative, holistic cancer therapies often not available on the HSE or NHS. I remain optimistic in the face of this illness, and I am inspired by people who have healed and recovered from cancer. Pursuing complementary medicines alongside conventional medicine, I believe I can feel much healthier, less tired and more empowered. And more like myself. Research shows that individuals who take their health into their own hands live longer which is why I believe being proactive and pursuing further treatments will help.

This is how I plan to spend funds raised, on supplementing my mainstream treatment with complementary therapies, visiting the clinics in Spain and Germany for treatment and ensuring I am comfortable for as long as possible. Paying for added therapy via this Go Fund Me means that our family can continue to live our normal lives as cancer does take a financial toll...on top of everything else.
