Cancer Can't Have Her- Help Our Mom Fight Back

Help Support Our Mom in Her Fight Against Cancer

Our mom has always been one of the most independent, hardworking women we know. She has never asked for help unless there was absolutely no other way, and now, we've reached that point.

This campaign is organized by her daughters, Krystal & Heather, to support our mom, Kelly, through this difficult battle with cancer.

We are her daughters, and we're asking for your support to help her through the hardest season of her life.

In 2017, our mom lost her dad to small cell cancer. It was a heartbreaking loss, but like she's always done, she found the strength to start over. In 2018, she moved to Florida to rebuild her life. She became a full-time retail manager, bought and renovated a trailer, sold it, and eventually bought a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, her peaceful retreat where she found joy in nature and independence.

Through every challenge, what mattered most to her was being surrounded by family and finding peace in the simple joys of life.

But in 2021, while working, she was attacked by a shoplifter with a metal pole. The blow to her head caused serious injuries and she was unable to return to work for over a year. To survive, she had to sell her home in Florida and move to Arkansas in 2022 to be closer to her own mother and start over once again.

Over the next two years in Arkansas, our mom slowly rebuilt her life. She used what money she had left to purchase another fixer-upper trailer, worked part-time jobs through ongoing medical issues, and eventually returned to full-time work in early 2024. She also spent those years lovingly caring for her own mother, who was declining in health.

Sadly, her mother eventually had to move to a long-term care facility several states away to receive the level or support she needed. Now, our mom is completely alone in rural Arkansas, without nearby family or friends. Everyone helping her now, including us, her daughters, must travel from out of state to do so.

Then in April 2025, everything changed again.

She was hospitalized for a week with pneumonia, and during that hospital stay, she lost her full-time job. It was also the moment doctors began to notice something more alarming.

In July, our mother's diagnosis was confirmed:

HER2-positive breast cancer

Ductal carcinoma of the breast

Clear cell carcinoma of the kidney

And most recently, an MRI revealed that the cancer may have already spread to her sternum and lymph nodes. More tests are underway to determine the full extent.

Our mom is facing multiple major surgeries, aggressive chemotherapy, and a long recovery, expected to last a year or more. She is no longer able to work and has no steady income at this time.

She also lives in a small town in Arkansas, far from any major cancer or kidney specialists. This means:

Her chemotherapy appointments require a 1 - hour drive each way

Her kidney doctor, scans, and all surgical care are located in Little Rock, a 3 - hour drive each way

The travel alone is overwhelming, physically, emotionally, and financially. Every appointment means another day on the road, another tank of gas, another expense she can't afford.

Your Donations Will Help Cover:

Chemotherapy treatments and medications

Transportation to and from treatments, scans, and surgeries

Lodging or rest stops when she has to stay overnight

Medical equipment, supplies, and basic living costs

Food, utilities, and other essentials while she focuses on recovery

Travel expenses for family members to be by her side and assist with care

Please note: No goods or services are being provided in exchange for donations. Contributions are purely gifts of support to help her through this time.

Please Stand With Our Mom

She has spent her entire life being strong for everyone else. Now, she needs a little help being carried.

We are her daughters, and though we're doing everything we can from different states to support her, we can't do this alone. Any amount you give will make a real difference in helping her get through this. No donation is too small, and every gift will help lighten the heavy load she's carrying.

If you're unable to give financially, we ask that you please share her story and lift her up in your prayers. We know that prayer moves mountains, and right now, that's what we need most.

Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with our beautiful mom in this fight.

With love,
Her daughters, Krystal & Heather
