Cancer bills, moving, and baby
Donation protected
Hi, everyone. I know that many of you have been following my health lately, and I appreciate everyone's love, support, and prayers to help us through this time.
We need to move from our third floor apartment, and will be able to do so very soon. I'm mostly stuck to a couch and chair, and getting to appointments is difficult. I need help with the money for the move, medical bills piling up again with extra surgeries, and Emilia's birth.
I never expected to get sick again, to be honest. I thought two years ago was just a crazy fluke, and that it was over and done. I had good scans and follow-ups and expected to just keep moving forward. Elias was growing like a weed, and we were a happy family.
We then decided to grow our family, and Stephanie became pregnant with Emilia, due in August, and I was so excited to have a daughter. Then I slipped and fell and noticed my leg wasn't healing up.
They found more of the cancer that was in my throat. A lot more, physically, in my leg. It ended up being ten pounds and extra trips to the hospital due to infection.
They also found it in my spine and lung. I'm going through radiation for my spine now, but I have to use a walker to get around. I coughed one night a few weeks back, and my legs decided to stop working correctly along with some other fun symptoms. My doctors have been amazing though and pushed everything up quickly to get me better. I'm hopeful to get back to being more myself after this, but cord pressure and broken vertebrae suck.
After radiation, I'll start treatment for my lung. They identified a couple of options, drugs and infusion, that we're going to try.
Even if all you can offer is prayers, love, and thoughts, I'll take them.
Love you all,
Brian Barbour
