Recently I had to have my neck surgically repaired. I had my c6 and c7 vertebrae completely replaced. During this process, I found out I have cancer. I have stage 4 lung cancer that metastasized to my bone and brain. I've been put off work until I can hopefully recover and get through chemo, because of this, I have no way to help cover my bills. I'm also losing my van because I can't make the payment and we will eventually need a reliable vehicle to get to and from appointments. I'm hoping to raise enough money to help keep a roof over my family’s head, the lights on, and pick up a vehicle. Our housing lease was also not renewed with a yearly contract because our landlord is only comfortable doing month to month in due to our financial situation and the added burden my being off work places on our family, so I will also eventually need funds to help us move. I've worked for everything my entire life. In fact, I was working for three months with my broken neck and was even at work when the doctor called to tell me to go to the hospital immediately. I hate to even ask for help, but whether it be a dollar or a share, I will appreciate it. I'll pay it forward as soon as I'm back on my feet.  I am not positive on an exact dollar amount I'll need in the end as it could be months before I am allowed to work or physically capable, I just put a number out there that will help to get us started and allow us to focus on my healing instead of the stress not knowing if we can pay our bills.
