Julia had a bright retirement in front of her. She worked hard to retire with me so we could enjoy ourselves. We we're planning our wedding which was supposed to be in July. Instead on April 1st 2016 a servere headache needed medical attention. In the emergency room the doctors tell her there are masses in her brain and lungs. Stage 4 lung cancer with brain lesions. This was devastating for her.
She put on her big girl panties and decided to fight to live. She went though 10 days of brain Radiation. Then 6 unpleasant treatments of platinum chemo. Then started immunotherpy, Opdivo. It was successful for giving her 22 more months of life. Of course the treatment tore up her body with many hospital stays. She has had to discontinue cancer treatments. No longer can she eat solid foods. She is in constant pain or in a fog due to pain medication. 
Her problems is honestly she has lived to long so she has used up all the grants that are available. Insurance is to slow to approve. Also any thing they provide is the cheapest model possible. 
So I have use all of my savings during this. Her's ran out a long time ago and she still owes many medical bills. The new insurance is not covering as much as her older policy. Many costs and services are not covered as well. So more bills will pile up.  She doesn't know how to cover her burial  costs and that worries her too. Because I have used up my savings and have not had any income since she was diagnosed. We have hit a wall. I am rejoining the workforce.  Which then causes the need to hire strangers to care for her during the day while I'm gone. She won't allow me to be stuck with debt so she has refused to marry me. A little help is needed.
