Hi my name is Sharon, and I'm trying to raise money for my sister Kristel who is going to kill me for doing this!

Many of you may not know that she was diagnosed with tongue cancer.

She has been so stoic, for the last 6weeks she has endured so much!

It started with tongue cancer even though she has never smoked a day in her life.

This resulted in her having half her tongue removed, with a skin graft from her left arm to make a new tongue.

She had forty lymph nodes out and two saliva glands. She spent 10 days the first time in John Hunter Hospital, went home for two days and developed complications,

which resulted in her being air lifted back to John Hunter Hospital.

They later found out after running tests it is Chyle lymphatic fluid leaking from the lymph nodes . Having

only 1% chance of this happening, she was double unlucky.

She hasn't eaten a thing in over a month to try and stop the leak.

She has an IV line going into her veins to keep her alive with nutrients but that doesn't stop the hunger pains.

She has had 9 painful needle's in the stomach every day for the last 6 weeks. Also, she is also having her fingers pricked due to type 1 diabetes.

Being in hospital for 6 weeks now is taking a financial strain on her and her mental health. At this stage it is unknown when she will be getting out of hospital or if a further surgery will be required, or when she will be able to return to work.
