Cancer 2nd Time Around- Breast to Brain
Donation protected
Greetings,
I'm Beverly Velloff, the younger sister of Lisa Albers. Recently, Lisa received the devastating diagnosis of Stage IV Metastatic Brain Cancer, stemming from her initial battle with HER2+ Breast Cancer back in 2019.
Lisa embodies resilience and independence, qualities that make her hesitant to seek assistance. That's why I've taken the initiative to reach out on her behalf.
At 60 years old, Lisa is a dedicated educator, nurturing future nursing professionals at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Despite her determination to continue her work, she began experiencing concerning vision changes. Subsequent tests revealed two sizable masses in her brain, prompting intensive treatment focused on shrinking these tumors through radiation and medication.
Presently, Lisa faces challenges with mobility and vision impairment in her right eye, rendering her unable to drive. Consequently, she's had to take a leave of absence from her teaching position at Maryville University to concentrate on her treatments at the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.
In light of potential medical expenses not covered by insurance, we've established this GoFundMe campaign to alleviate some of the financial burden weighing on Lisa's shoulders.
Your generosity will allow Lisa to prioritize her health without the added worry of mounting medical bills. Thank you for considering support for our beloved sister, mother, wife daughter and friend during this challenging time.
