Support Marien's Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer

Now that you're here, let's talk Marien Canale..... ever heard of her? Many of you know her as Mar, Senora, Mrs. C, or you may have found her food page @mrsflxeats. She is a two-time breast cancer survivor, a loving wife and mother, a retired Spanish teacher, dedicated BILLS MAFIA member, a craft and cook connoisseur, a loyal friend and volunteer, and an overall fun, genuine person. To us, she is our world; she is our Mom.

Our mother has been one of the strongest humans we know. Despite her previous cancer battles, she has continuously been brave, composed, and never complains. Unfortunately, she is being put to the test once more.

On May 14, 2022 while we were celebrating Marisa’s graduation from Gannon’s Physician Assistant Master’s program in Florida, our amazing mom was found to have a malignant tumor in the head of her pancreas. She underwent emergent stenting, biopsy, and other procedures to help mitigate the attack of this disease. Mom watched Marisa's graduation ceremony lying in her hospital bed, bracing herself for the emotions to try and prepare for the battle against Pancreatic Cancer.

As October celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness Month, November marks Mar's birthday month and Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. To help spread awareness, we have personalized purple wristbands for our momma. We would love for you to wear one and show your support! In addition, we invite everyone to light a candle on her birthday (NOVEMBER 29!) and tag her on Facebook (@Marien Oddi Canale) or on Instagram (@sramoc) to spread encouragement and love.

Doing this allows us to share some of our journey and provide awareness. We want to use this month to unite survivors and those currently battling cancer. We ask those who have ever loved, lost, or cared for someone with cancer to please take a moment out of each day and remember them.

Please share a photo - wear the color purple, say a prayer, peek at the stars, pick a beautiful flower, look for a bright rainbow, find any little reminder to appreciate this life and spread joy and positivity. PLEASE feel free to post these photos, tag my mom, or send them privately to encourage and support her!
