It is with profound sadness that we are mourning the loss of 18-year-old Canaan Goodman. His smile - one that would light up a room and chase away sorrows - will never be forgotten. For 18 years, as their homeschool teacher and family friend, I was privileged to know this sweet young man. Christine Goodman, Cannan's mom, always put her four boys' needs before her own. She worked numerous jobs to support them and their love and passion for baseball. Through her words and actions, anyone could see Christine's deep love for her children and the Lord. The way she'd look at them made her eyes sparkle with love and pride. This family's tragic and unexpected loss has hit hard, and although they know they will see Canaan again, they need our support.
