We are passionate about helping the people we support to be part of the community - out and active. What they miss most are the everyday outings – for coffee or lunch, or to visit a park or somewhere they remember from their younger days.

We’ve all notice the price of petrol, food and drinks rising and this makes it harder for us to go out and about. We simply cannot afford all the little outings that made such a huge difference.

We need to raise funds to allow our group to continue to enjoy trips. Our services are part funded by the people who use them, with additional fundraising and charitable grants – we receive no Government funding.

You can make a difference by donating today to East Kilbride & District Dementia Carers Group. Since 1990, this charity, set up by carers, has provided day care for people living with dementia, and support for their families.

We have our own fully accessible mini-bus but cannot afford to go on the many regular trips and outings that give so much enjoyment and enrich the lives of those who use our service.

Day care means so many different things to different people. For us, it is as broad as it needs to be to allow us to engage with individuals in a way that is meaningful and personal to them.
