Can you please help me help me get to Seattle

Hello everybody my name is Justin Sleeman, a little about me, 12 years ago I was in a very bad accident. A friend and I going for a ride when my front wheel came into contact with some gravel in the street. What happened next was the worst day of my life, I tried to correct but it was to late, all I remembered is waking up and trying to get up but nothing was working I knew right then and there that I was paralyzed. My friend was trying to get help by calling 911 and slowing down vehicles coming my way and I the other lane. After about 45 minutes an off duty paramedic was driving by to call it in.

My family lived in Washington and I was in Northern California. So you can see how hard this was. The first to show was my father, the next morning were he would stay with his sister, then it was my step mother were she would join him. My mother would be next were she would stay where I was living. while I was in an-induced coma so I can heal. Total damage done C 5-6 and T 5-9 plus some minor injuries, fractured sternum and four broken ribs and a broken collar bone with a head injury as well, but the best thing is that I'm alive and not knowing at that moment I had family and friends supporting me.

After three weeks in the first hospital at Santa Rosa Memorial I was finally out of the danger zone and was transferred to Santa Clara medical hospital because they where well known for there rehab center, I still was in bad shape. I Came down with pneumonia when I was transferring hospitals. It seemed like one big scary dream for me, I can probably write a book about all of the dreams I had. After about 2 weeks I was finally coming to, and when I was awake I could see everything that was going on, I still couldn't speak because the neck brace and trach still in but I could communicate with a writing board, but another problem was my head injury, I could not spell correctly.

Finally I was transferred down stairs which was the last step or my hospital journey where they welcomed me with open arms. I had my own Occupational therapist and my own Physical therapist. The first time seeing them my jaw dropped, they were the most beautiful ladies in the hospital and was thinking these are for me! They were a joy to work with! I was getting stronger and stronger every day with them. I had so much fun with them . I was also getting smarter and learning new things everyday. It went by so fast that I was sad to leave my three week journey in the recovery dorm. I want to thank those people that were in my life for all the support, friends and family, Doctors, nurses and therapist that worked with me. I still miss all of them.

Now that I'm on my own now "life just flies by", it's almost been thirteen years since all that chaos and and just have about one hand full of friends but in life I guess that's just all you need. My mother getting older I decided the best move was to move her here from Washington st. to NorCal were the weather would be better for her aches and pains. So your two peas in a pod. I live in a Hud assisted apartment that is all handicapped ♿ accessible and am blessed to have Solomoni Vera work with me for six to seven years and now his son Ilaisa Verebasaga, they are from fiji and I would love to go sometime with Soll but could not afford it the last time. So I am trying to raise some money using this platform form so I can go on a vacation by summers end.

I'm trying to raise enough to get gas from point A to B and hotel for the both of us for seven to eight days in Washington were all my family live. It is hard for my caregiver because he has a family to and can be spending his money elsewhere, that's just what I think. It's also hard to schedule everything when it comes time to get when you don't have any money. I have to live on SSID for the rest of my life and something like this would take years of saving. It all so be nice to see a Seahawks game as well, like I said any donation would help.

Sincerely,Justin Sleeman
