Hi, my name is Steve.
Some of you may remember me, I’ve been struggling with homelessness after losing my job due to illness. I’ve been doing my best to stay afloat, but it’s been an incredibly tough road. I’ve bounced between cities, shelters, and temporary work, but nothing stable has come my way.
Despite everything, I haven’t given up. I’m 55 (turning 56 this June), and I still believe I can turn things around. I'm now in Thunder Bay, trying to get back on my feet while staying at the Salvation Army.
I’ve come up with a plan: I want to raise $21,000 to buy and convert a small bus or van (a "skoolie") into a place I can call home. With a skoolie, I’d have a roof over my head and the freedom to find work without worrying about expensive rent. I'm also hoping to get an e-bike, so I can get around more easily and even do delivery or side work to support myself.
I’ve started rebuilding my Instagram (@wicked_drifter) to try and earn through affiliate marketing, but that takes time. For now, I’m just hoping for some support to help me finally get off the streets for good.
To everyone who helped me before thank you. Your kindness gave me a fighting chance. I’m asking again, with hope in my heart, that this time it might be enough to change my life.
Thanks for reading, and blessings to all of you.
