Hi everyone,

My name is Catherine Tomaiuoli-Santoro. In September 2024, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Since then, I’ve completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and now I’m scheduled for surgery at NYU that offers a good next step in my treatment plan.

The surgery requires me to temporarily relocate to New York City for almost four weeks to be close to the medical team during surgical planning and recovery. While I’m grateful to have this option, the expenses tied to housing, transportation, and day-to-day living during this time are adding up quickly.
