Can you help us with foreign legal costs
Donation protected

Sadly in August my family’s life changed forever. My dear brother passed away on holiday in Greece. Unfortunately we were unable to afford to fly him home and we were forced to have him cremated in Athens. My family had to borrow money to cover these initial costs and with so much still to cover it won't be possible without financial help and support.
Luckily my brother Stuart was such a loved person by all his friends and his best friend helped us pay the immediate upfront costs which we still have to pay back. It would have cost us $20,000 to fly his body home which is obviously what we wanted to do as he wanted to dedicate his body to medical science, but sadly we were not able too. My parents then had to pay to fly to Athens to identify him and deal with the preparations for the cremation, then they had to fly to Poland where my brother was living to sort through his belongings.
Not only are we dealing with this devastating loss we are now dealing with a lot of red tape with the Greek authorities, in order to obtain his close personal items and to find out toxicology results/police reports and any other vital information, to get this we have to hire an English/Greek speaking attorney, this unfortunately isn’t cheap. The British Consulate in Greece has told us we’re unable to find anything out without legal representation.
As you can imagine this is insanely stressful for our family. And on top of that we are now having to deal with the Polish authorities as that’s where my brother was living, so we also need to hire an English/Polish speaking attorney there to help us deal with closing his accounts and handling his mortgage/bill collectors etc.
My brother was such a kind loving man, he literally gave the shirt off his back and always helped us when we needed it most even when he had nothing . I owe so much to him and I want to do everything I can to honor his life and make it as easy on my family as I can.
Being able to tie up all of the legal issues and getting answers surrounding his death will finally allow us to grieve properly. We don’t want to spread his ashes until we have everything tied up so we can give him the send off he deserves.
Thank you so much for reading my story, I appreciate your time.
