Hello dear friends, We are Errol, Vashti R G and Élise M A Dass. Today we are asking you the wider community for assistance towards urgent heart surgery for Deila-Grace our sweet little eight(8) month old Cockapoo. This is our truth:-
Our journey to finding our furbaby started in early 2016, Before our Éise was born, Errol and I exhausted ourselves looking for a rescue pup. After Élise was born we were still looking. We were denied everywhere we went as we did not meet the criteria for their requirements for adopting a doggie.... It was either due to having our Budgies Charlie and Steve whom we've adopted from friends who couldn't afford to keep them, or no fenced backyard, or having a child, or my medical condition or different reasons combined.
It was only after Élise started Elementary School we got more desperate as she had experienced severe bullying and was suggested to find a fur-companion for emotional support to help her get through her traumatic experience . We kept visting the SPCA and even had close friends/relatives search for us in the US ASPCA as we truly did not want to go in the direction of a registered breeder(this was our last resort). Eventually, Errol said that we should sacrifice a little and look online. On the evening of Christmas Eve he saw Mini Cockapoos for sale advertised by the company- PawTouch. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to us as we wanted to surprise Élise with a puppy for Christmas. We left very early Christmas morning to go collect our newest addition to our family in Milton ( Our Journey was six hours to go and six hours return).
We three were so happy to finally meet our furbaby in whom Élise named her shortly after- Deila-Grace Dass.He assured us that she had no health issues and was 100% a healthy pup as stated on his website; What we did not expect was his dishonesty on receiving a "healthy pup". He only said that she was a bit anxious being in a vehicle.
While heading home we had to stop several times to clean her up as she had experienced diarrhoea; she was crying and trembling (in our minds we thought that it was just the anxiety but it proved later on that it was not so).
Christmas Night it got worse Deila-Grace was whimpering in pain, I ended up messaging our friend Dr.Raphael next morning who is currently Deila-Grace's Doctor for advice. We eventualy got an emergency appointment with her to give our Deila-Grace the temporary help she needed. We got the dreaded news which any famiy doesn't want to recieve , Dr.Raphael detected a strong heart murmour in Deila-Grace. She Strongly advised us to see the Cardiologist as soon as possible.
We got an emergency appointment with Dr.Catherine Georges in March at the Laval Vetenaire Cardiogy Centre. We were hoping for god results but it was not so; Our Sweet little girl was diagnosed with PDA-5 and needs immediate surgery to close the opened arteory within a few months.,She will eventually die after, if surgery is not performed within the short time period given. Our tears flowed freely without shame- We were devastated receiving this news and we just didn't know what to do as it was overwhelming and we knew immediately that we don't have the required finances to do so......... Dr.Georges and Dr.Raphael had suggested us set up a Gofundme account as there are some caring good hearted folks who will be more than willing to help towards Deila-Grace's surgery, Hence the reason why we are here asking for your help to save Our little Apricot Furbaby's life.
We Love Deila-Grace dearly and we woud love to have the opportunity to experience more years of filling our hearts with beautiful memeories with our furbaby. We will be forever grateful for what you give financially towards giving Deila-Grace Dass her second chance. We Thank You with Grateful Hearts and appreciation in advance for your help. Take Care and Blessings to You all.
