Can you help us to fund Abel’s surgery?

Many of you will have visited the Sanctuary and fallen in love with our gorgeous boy Abel, he is always leaning in for strokes and kisses and is the gentlest boy!! So many of you tell us that he’s your favourite resident ❤️

 

Abel was destined to be a meat goat, but came to us as he was too small and wasn’t gaining weight fast enough, sure enough he came here and grew in to a strapping young lad, and will live out his life with us ❤️

 

Sadly this week, Abel has been doing too much Goating about with his pals, we think one of the other goats has butted him and caused quite a trauma to his leg, as first we thought this was broken but after getting him into a fantastic university vets we now know it’s his Patella, it’s out of place and not going back in, I imagine this is incredibly painful for him

 

The team are willing to operate on Abel and give him the best chance of recovery, without the operation Abel would need to the put to sleep, something we won’t even consider.. so now we are needing to raise the £4,000 the vets have quoted to save his life
