Can you help us secure a permanent location?

Hi, My name is Grace and I am the founder of the Long Island Stompers Modern Line Dancing group on the little Isle of Wight.

When I started this journey 3 years ago, I never in a million years thought we would be reaching the milestones we have so far, but now we need your help.

Since I started line dancing over a decade ago I knew there was something so special about this community, but unfortunately community groups struggle to offer services further afield due to finances.

Our Mission:

We want to create a base in Newport Isle of Wight ( we have found the PERFECT venue) where people can come for regular daily classes for beginners right up to advanced level, but also more importantly create weekly live music sessions where local bands can come and showcase there talent without the worries of the extortionate hire costs.

What do we need the money for?

Our aim is to renovate a very exciting building which is accessible by public transport but also with plenty of parking for the country music loving community to come and dance the night away to fabulous country music and also enjoy a couple of drinks and maybe even some food, depending on which heights we can reach.

In our 3 years of business we have created a community of over 1,000 line dancers, and now we just need the space and classes to offer our services even further.

You don't have to be a line dancer to enjoy our space, you just need a love for music and a love for supporting local businesses.

What are the costs?

Money raised will help us secure our venue, pay our business rates and get our space up and running before the end of 2025!

just renting the space will cost £3,500 a month without any electric, heating and staff costs.

no wonder business find it hard to take the next leap.
