CAN YOU HELP MY BROTHER, YOUR FRIEND, DANIEL CLARK?
My name is Carolyn Clark, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my beloved brother Daniel Clark. He has fought cancer and now must find a place to live.
Daniel was diagnosed with cancer in October, 2024. After an initial misdiagnosis, he began months of treatment. First he went through radiation with chemotherapy; then he went on to straight chemotherapy. Daniel worked as much as he could despite the discomfort that the treatments caused, and he worked as soon as possible after those treatments. On December 8, 2025, he had surgery, during which a five-by-two centimeter tumor was successfully removed.
Then, on December 25, he was afflicted with severe pain. Complications from the surgery meant he needed another operation. He was hospitalized again, this time for six days.
Daniel found out that he will have to leave his current living space because the owners are shutting it down for renovations and repairs due to recent heavy rains and other issues. Even so, he felt optimistic. Just a week ago he zeroed in on a great new apartment. However, his energy flagged; he felt depleted and was unable to eat. He went twice to the emergency room; only on the second visit was he admitted to the hospital, despite the weakness and discomfort he was experiencing.
It turns out that he has a serious infection resulting from the second surgery, and he may need another operation. He has Blue Shield health insurance, but Daniel was responsible for bills that ran into the thousands last year. 2026 will entail both housing and medical costs.

Daniel feels positive about the future and his practical apartment, but he still has a lot of fatigue and other symptoms. It will take time for him to heal, but at least he's got an apartment.
He gets emotional when he thinks of the incredible outpouring of love and care from you, the donors. And, as I've said, you have lifted his spirits beyond what any medical magic could do.
