More information about NorCal Cocker Rescue, Inc.: NorCal Cocker Rescue rescues cocker spaniel and spaniel mixes from shelters in Central and Northern California. We also take in dogs that need to be rehomed for a variety of reasons - death of owner, owner no longer able to care for dog, moving, etc.
Luke was surrendered to NorCal Cocker Rescue when his owner could no longer care for him. His ears have had chronic infections over the years, and when this happens to cockers, they get "cauliflower" looking ear canals which end up closing up. His ears are sticking out because of the swelling. The only way to correct this is for a TECA surgery which is removing the whole ear canal. Luke's ears are particularly bad. It is a very difficult and long surgery. And expensive. The cost of the surgery at MarQueen Animal Hospital will be low end - $9,958 -- high end $11,402. BUT the outcome will be that Luke will not be shaking his head and be in pain. Luke is an incredibly sweet, calm, gentle boy who loves people and other dogs. He is going to be so happy when he will be out of pain! Please help us with his surgery, this cost is very difficult for a small rescue like ours to pay for, so any donation amount will be very appreciated!
