Hey there, so my friend Michelle recently experienced a significant loss of hearing and it has been a tough journey for her, especially because she relies heavily on her hearing in everyday life. To help her through this difficult time, we are raising funds to cover the costs of necessary treatments, such as hearing aids and consultations with specialists. We want to ensure that Michelle can regain some normalcy in her life and continue to engage with the world around her. Hearing loss can be isolating, but with your support, we can make sure that Michelle doesn't have to navigate this challenge alone. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to us as we rally around our dear friend during this tough time. Let's come together and show Michelle how much we care!
We often overlook the simple yet beautiful sounds that we encounter on a daily basis- like the soothing melodies of music, the joyful chirping of birds in the morning, or the comforting sound of loved ones’ voices. These sounds may seem insignificant and easily ignored amidst the hustle and bustle of our hectic lives, but they have a profound impact on our overall well-being and happiness. Music has the power to lift our spirits and evoke emotions we never knew existed, while the sound of birds singing can bring a sense of tranquility and connection to nature. The soft tones of familiar voices provide us with comfort and reassurance, reminding us that we are not alone in this world. So next time you hear these sounds, take a moment to truly appreciate them and let them fill your heart with joy.
Helping fund Michelle with hearing aids will truly make a difference in her life. Not being able to hear clearly can be isolating and frustrating, impacting daily interactions and overall quality of life. With the right support, Michelle will have the opportunity to fully engage in conversations, enjoy music and movies at their fullest, and feel more connected to those around her. Your contribution will not only allow her to experience the world in a whole new way but also demonstrate your kindness and compassion towards someone in need. Being able to improve Michelle's hearing will truly be a blessing for her and bring joy and positivity into her life.
Michelle's condition from her words,,,,
So I have moderate to severe hearing loss in my left ear and in my right ear is moderate to profound. I was born hard of hearing and my parents didn't know till I was 3 years old when my hearing Dr. told them I needed hearing aids. Now where I'm going threw life changes, single mom on disability, I don't have the funds to get my hearing aids. Sunlife only covers $400 for both every 5 years. ( $200 per hearing aid)
With this hearing loss it's causing me to lose my vision and the condition is called Usher Syndrome and I have type 2. Usher syndrome type II (USH2) is characterized by moderate-to-severe sensorineural hearing loss at birth and retinitis pigmentosa (RP) that begins in late adolescence or early adulthood. Some individuals also have vestibular loss
So I can only see what’s in front of me- someone with perfect eye conditions is 180 degrees mine is now 10 degrees
