Cam's Healing Journey: Your Help Needed

HI, I'm Cam- I'm not one to ask for help or expect it. I've worked since I was 15 years old and I'm usually the helper for everyone. I had open heart surgery May 2023, with that has come a lot of other health issues. I thought I had recovered and went back to work and shortly after that, I was taken back out of work due to tachycardia in May of 2024. That has left us with one income. The doctors will not release me to work and we started the disability process in June of 2024 and they are in no rush to even review medical records. We've been told that could take up to 400 days for a decision to be made. The most recent endeavor has been my loss of health benefits in Nov 2024. Just one medication is a 1k cost (we were lucky enough to get it for $100) But that's just one of the many I take to stay alive. I've recently gotten health insurance. We've had to relocate due to my health issues- not only to be closer to family & doctors, but closer to the wife's new job. She has worked anywhere from 1 to 3 jobs to carry the weight of the household and my health. We still struggle to make ends meet between the cost of living & medical bills. A lot of burden has been placed on her family to assist where they can. Life has definitely taken a toll lately on all of us. We have fell again on hard times with the cost of medication, relocation, and doctor co pays. We are lucky enough to have a daughter graciously open her home to allow us to stay with her until we can get into our home, but we don't want to put more burden on her.
