Diagnoses
Cameron was diagnosed with CRPS (Complex regional pain syndrome) in 2017 when she was 15. CRPS usually occurs after an injury and is caused by a dysfunction of the central and/or peripheral nervous system, severely amplifying pain in the affected area(s). CRPS, nicknamed the "suicide disease" and has a rating of 46 out 50 on the McGill pain scale (rating higher than amputation and cancer). It usually starts in one of the 4 limbs but can spread to any part of the body including internal organs. There is no known cure for CRPS. Her CRPS started in her left foot, but has spread to her entire body.
Additionally, Cameron has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Depression, Migraines, Allodynia, and Gastroparesis.
Cameron used to be very active, participating in Dance, Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Singing. She wanted to try everything. She now spends most of her days in bed and is down to 84 pounds.

From Cam
" I just want to feel like myself again. To be able to do daily activities without being in pain, and having to take a nap afterwards. To be able to eat without feeling nauseous."

Cameron has not found any medication that brings any level of relief to the excruciating pain. We have learned of the Spero clinic in Fayetteville, Arkansas that uses targeted therapy to reset the central nervous system , which reduces pain and increase mobility in many CRPS patients.

Spero Clinic
The Spero Clinic is a medical treatment center in Arkansas that uses a unique holistic approach to treat CRPS and Fibromyalgia. Over a 12 week span a specialized team dedicated to Cameron's case will guide her through multiple therapies designed to reset the central nervous system. It is the only clinic offering these specific treatment methods, without the use of surgery and opioids.

Needs & Expenses
The Spero Clinic is NOT covered by insurance and there are no payment plan options. As Cameron's primary care giver I will be going to Arkansas with her for the duration of her treatment and will be taking a leave of absence from my job. Cameron will start treatment in Arkansas on January 4, 2022, and will have multiple appointments a day.
Treatment costs approximately $3,000 a week which comes to $36,000 for a 12 week program. That does not include travel, housing and food.
We have been fundraising for almost a year and are still about $10,000 short of our goal.
We are hopeful that we will raise enough money to get Cam the treatment she needs
Please feel free to join our FB group, we will be keeping everyone updated on her progress.
