Camp Yakety Yak must raise money to continue its therapeutic day camp located in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
Camp costs approximately $300,000 a year to produce, and we take in about $215,000 in camper tuition each year. We rely on donations from our community to continue into the next year.
Camp Yakety Yak (CYY) is a 501c3 organization that was created in 2010 by Angela Arterberry Sullivan, speech pathologist, to help children with special needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability) grow socially and emotionally by improving their communication skills.
Masters-level teachers and clinicians supervise college student volunteers who work at camp to gain hand's on experience with children with special needs. It is balance of learning and fun for all involved!
If you have a heart for children with special needs and can help us develop stable, long term funding sources, please contact us through our website: campyaketyyak.org or view our 20 minute documentary here.
