Camp for Rylee
Donation protected
Hello everyone! I am trying to raise money for my daughter, Rylee, so she will be able to go to an Alopecia camp in July 2016 called Alopeciapalooza through Children's Alopecia Project, childrensalopeciaproject.org.
Rylee was diagnosed with alopecia in January 2015. She started losing clumps of hair in November 2014 and eventually over the months she had lost all of her hair. There is currently no cure for this disease. My sweet Rylee is 4 years old and she is trying to cope as a young girl who is bald. Sometimes it can be very difficult because some children are not that understanding with this disease.
Rylee does not know any other children with alopecia and I believe she could really benefit from going to a camp made just for kids with alopecia. She will be able to meet other little girls and children going through the same thing as her. At this camp, they really help boost the children's confidence and help them understand that they are not battling this alone.
I am trying to raise the money for traveling expenses, room, camp cost, etc... Any extra donations that are not used for the camp costs will go directly toward research to find a cure through the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, naaf.org. The camp is in Las Vegas, Nevada and we are looking for help, no matter how small, to go towards Rylee making lifelong friends who are going through the same things as her. I just want to thank you so much!
