My Home Is Gone

This is my family and I's story My name is Decker. I am 19 years old and take care of my grandparents and disabled mother. We are victims of the Camp Fire. It claimed our entire town, including my work and home. We've lived in Paradise since 1998 and so are absolutely devastated through and through. As members of the Paradise community my grandmother Kit Carson has one of the biggest hearts I've ever seen, donating and volunteering with Hospice since as long as I can remember. She also worked at Feather River Hospital as a Peer Advocate for the mentally unwell years back, after devoting herself to helping those who need it, like my mother. My grandfather Al "Cap't Shark" Carson is a well known retired fishing guide and veteran. I myself have worked at Grocery Outlet for over a year, but am now no longer employed due to it burning down. I was the only one working. The hardest part is our community has been turned to ash. My home I grew up in is gone. I took my first steps in this house, now a pile of ash. All of our memories are just that now. Thankfully my family and I were all able to make it out, even driving through flames. At one point we were separated and I believed the worst had happened for almost two hours, but we are safe right now. We got our pets out but not much more than that when we left. It will be extremely tough to move on from this but we must. Our little town needs us to. My family went to live with other family in Ohio, but I am still here taking care of things and wanting to stay near where I've grown up. I don't want to have to leave my friends and everything I know. I'm currently sharing a room with my friend in San Jose. I am asking for donations of anything you can spare. We were not very well off financially before this, so we certainly aren't now. I lost my car in the fire and collectively almost all of our belongings, but, thanks to you guys, I was just able to get a new car. (most of this money went to that) I am asking for your help.
