Campfire was dumped in the country, left with a crushed leg, broken tail, and runny eyes. I'm surprised she wasn't fox food.

For the first couple weeks she was absolutely terrified and we only got to see her on security camera.

She has decided that we aren't so bad just in time for her vet appointment on Friday. It will be an initial consultation and shots. Her spay and probable amputation will be a very hefty vet bill. Any donations made will go directly towards her surgery.

Campfire has found her permanent home here with us. We are putting the finishing touches on screening in the back porch so that she will have a safe place away from predators. She will of course be allowed to come in the house at first supervised only as the dogs get used to having a cat around.
