Campfire home loss

Thursday, November 8th 2018 was a day we can and will never forget. What started as a normal day turned into something nobody could have predicted; the most devastating and deadliest fire California has ever had. In just a couple short hours TOWNS were literally destroyed and wiped off the map. And unfortunately this disaster is far from over.

What is typically a 25-30 minute drive, ended up being an 8 hour drive of literally escaping death. By the grace of God, Raechel had driven herself, her dad & her foster brother to safety in Chico. Due to all of the shelters around being full at the time, they stayed in the Walmart parking lot which was shortly evacuated as well due to the traveling fire making its way to Chico. After sleeping on the ground in a parking lot, they luckily got in contact with a family friend and now have a warm place to sleep and take a hot shower for the time being!

I know this terrible fire has brought thousands and thousands of people nothing but devastation but if we can all just help each other a little bit, we will all get through it together. Raechel is left with the clothes she had on her back & the few items she had in her car so absolutely anything at all helps.
There are things she will never be able to get back or replace but with strength, determinition, hard work & a little help, she will get her get her life back together and will be ok.

Continued prayers for EVERYBODY affected. Stay strong butte county, we will get through this together. God bless
