My name is Stephanie and my family and I are survivors of the paradise camp fire. We were born and raised in Paradise and we have always known we want to raise our children (Kaylee 17 and Jayden 12)there and retire there. On November 8, 2018 our home and everything we own was taken from us and destroyed by the devastating camp fire. My future with my work is in jeopardy as well. I work for the post office and because 95% of the town was burned to the ground I no longer have a route to deliver to.  My pay and my benefits and my retirement has just gone up in smoke along with everything else we owned. We have a very hard time asking for help. We have always been able to take care of ourselves and our children and always there to help others when they were in need.  For now we are in a 5th wheel and will probably stay due to the housing increasing daily to a rate we could never afford to stay afloat with. We still are without essential items as you know it takes years to acquire everything you put in a home.  We would appreciate any help or support your willing to offer us. Our kids mean everything to us and we just want to see that they are taken care of. This is my daughters senior year of high school and she has already had to give up so much. She didn’t get to finish out her last year of cheer and she didn’t get to do track. Along with all the fun things your senior year is all about.  My son is in 7th which you know is a very crucial time in his life. Not just in school but finding out who he is as a person and growing into a young man and I’m afraid that these next few years will take away the childhood that a young boy should have and I’d like to do everything that I can to make it as normal as possible for him, but we are going to need some help.
