Campaigning for Chappy

Hi, my name is Amelia and I am fundraising for our dear friend Chris Chapman.

Our goal is to raise $7,000 to help Chris with necessary medical treatments. During a recent medical emergency, it was discovered that Chris has a chronic heart condition. The good news is recovery is possible, however, Chris will need intensive medical intervention to stabilize his health. $7,000 will not come close to covering the costs of Chris’ medical care needs, however, it will allow him to start the treatment process and pay for life-saving medications which is otherwise extremely difficult due to lack of medical insurance.

I’ve known Chris & his family since I was a kid growing up in Hollis, Maine and he is one of my husband’s very best friends. Chris is a loving son, brother and uncle. You can’t be in the presence of Chris without your cheeks hurting from laughter. Those who know him, know that Chris is a fun, charismatic ball-buster! He would do anything for his friends and family – but might make fun of them in the process!

Chris is a hardworking and humble man, so it is no surprise that it took a lot of convincing to get him to give us the green light on a fundraiser – and I hope I get this posted before he changes his mind. As a master plumber, he is used to fixing crappy situations for others, but receiving support is unfamiliar territory for him. I know if the situation was reversed and this was my husband who was sick, Chris would be setting a fundraiser up for us! He has been there for my family many times helping us with advice, our household plumbing issues & putting a roof over my head when I needed to make a last-minute winter trip to Maine. Chris’ friends and family depend on him so much & want to offer any support we can during this difficult time.
