Campaign to help Colleen and Chris Simeti

Colleen is a successful dental hygienist and has worked hard her whole life. She has been the mainstay of a local dog rescue for over 10 years, and thousands of dogs and families have benefited from her efforts. 2019 has sadly been a devastating year for Colleen, who is the main bread winner in her family. What started in January as a seemingly simple back and hip pain turned into a nightmare.

The back pain turned out to be caused by her hip. But in treating the hip, Colleen somehow got a blood and bone infection which complicated her getting a hip replacement. She had to undergo a number of  surgeries to repair the hip because the E. coli infection destroyed parts of her hip socket. After about 6 months Colleen finally got her hip replaced and started rehabbing but the nightmare didn't end there as her previously okay hip took a beating when her outer leg was not functioning and she is still in limbo waiting to get it replaced. Because of the infection that will never fully go away in her blood her doctors are being cautious and Colleen still has many months to go before she can return to her successful job. The medical bills and lack of her regular paycheck has eaten up most of her families assets a d soon they are likely going to have to sell their house.

Colleen is super stressed and in despair about her health and the state of her families financial affairs because of this medical nightmare she is currently living.
