Every basketball hoop in America should have a net – starting with New York City! Campaign Swish's goal is to hang nets on rims at outdoor basketball courts around the five boroughs. This will allow more people to experience the satisfying swish sound every basketball player loves, while also making it easier to shoot around and have an enjoyable outdoor experience. In addition, we will ensure that the courts are clean and will pick up any garbage we find, as well as wiping down and sweeping any areas necessary. Our funds will be used to purchase nets and other materials we will need to accomplish our goal. These materials include zip ties – as some rims do not have hooks to help hang the nets, gloves for picking up garbage, Clorox wipes, and more.
